Frequently Asked Questions

  • Pet portraits make thoughtful, personal gifts that last a lifetime. Whether it is a celebration, a memorial, or simply a way to honour a beloved pet, a custom portrait is a meaningful keepsake that is far more personal than a generic present.

  • I do not use AI. Every portrait is hand drawn or hand painted by me from start to finish. I have spent over 30 years perfecting the craft, and it shows in the final pieces.

I also work as a dog groomer - safe to say I am a huge animal lover and surround myself with them at every opportunity. I capture your pet’s unique character, expression, and personality rather than simply copying a photograph.

AI can imitate styles, but it cannot understand your pet the way a human artist, and a fellow animal lover, can.

  • I am a professional artist with over 10 years of experience working across both digital and traditional mediums.

I have been commissioned worldwide from London, England to Sydney, Australia and in between!

Drawing animals is a skill I have refined over many years, focusing on anatomy, expression, and detail to create portraits that feel lifelike and personal.

  • Digital portraits are £30. These are hand drawn digitally by me and emailed to you once complete, making them ideal for print at home gifts or sharing online.

Hand painted physical portraits start at £130 and increase depending on size, colours and complexity. These are original artworks and include free P&P to UK addresses.

  • You can order by emailing me directly. We can discuss your ideas, and send over clear photographs of your chosen subject.

I take minimum 50% payment via bank transfer or Paypal. Message me and I can send you over the details.

I will keep you updated with progress photographs, making sure you are a part of the process at all times.

  • Clear, well lit photos work best, and phone photos are absolutely fine. Please send several images if possible and let me know if you have a favourite. Different angles help me capture your pet more accurately and bring their personality into the final artwork.

  • Yes. My goal is always to create a portrait that feels like your pet, not just one that looks like them. If your pet has any distinctive traits, expressions, or quirks, feel free to tell me. These details help me create a more meaningful and personal piece of art.

  • Portraits, once started, take approx. 3-4 weeks, but does depend on size requirements.

There is usually a ‘waiting list’, but the length of that wait can vary - so please feel free to ask.

If you need a portrait by a specific date, please contact me before ordering. I am happy to accommodate deadlines where possible, but availability can vary. If I cannot meet your deadline, I will always be honest upfront.
